Optimisation of Matchmaking Rules
RP contribute towards unlocking modifications for the planes you were flying covered in a separate guide , and researching new aircraft. The Russian tech tree; not to be confused with the Russian techno tree Aircraft are divided into five ranks or eras, broadly chronologically but with some adjustments to account for performance in a game context, for example the German Do J series heavy fighters in Rank II are derived from the Do E bomber in Rank III. Some aircraft, such as the I , SB and Su-2, have a little tab in the top left corner of their icon; these are stacks of planes, if you click one then a window should pop up with two or more variants of that plane.
Hovering over a plane in the tree pops up a little stat card showing its salient details: To get a first-hand impression you can also take any plane eligible for research for a test flight, either right-click or use the second little icon over the plane. Battle Rating increases in rounded 0.
Premium tanks’ gold values are displayed on their respective pages. A premium tank’s credit value is equal to its gold value times Tanks displayed below with a gold icon next to their name are available for purchase either in-game or in the gift shop.
All premium tanks come with Elite status and require no module research. Most premium tanks benefit from greater credit income than regular tanks. This credit bonus increases with the tiers, which makes standard tier VIII premiums the most profitable tanks available to all players in the game. Many players regularly play tier VIII or other premiums to earn the credits necessary to pay for new tanks, modules, equipment, etc. The one exception to this are special event vehicles, which are premium tanks given as rewards for missions and other competitions some examples are the StuG IV and the T28 Concept.
Such vehicles benefit from all of the advantages of regular premium tanks, except the increased credit income.
War Thunder will be worse than WoT. There is a new horrible progression system that is coming out in WT that will make it worse than WoT, and thoose scumbags at Gaijin even gonna steal some money. You need to unlock next plane by unlocking several modules in previous plane in the lineup, or use GE to instantly unlock thoose modules if you dont want to fly it.
You cant skip planes without GE anymore.
On tanks, it’s the single highest BR in your entire lineup and a maximum difference of +-1 for the matchmaking. It works the same way for squads, where the highest BR in a squad is taken as the basis for the matchmaking.
Impressive, some improvements should be made. Super fun, great strategy involved, however there are some very rude players that cant handle defeat. Also, the matchmaking system often makes teams quite unfair, making one team almost guaranteed to win, while the other has almost no chance to win. Overall, the graphics are pretty good for a mobile game, and over time they are very much improving.
I really like how the graphics are adjustable so that even weaker devices can handle this game. Since this game has started, the amount of available tanks has increased by a HUGE amount, and some balances and improvements have been made to tanks to make this game fair.

Pen- Penetration Ammorack- Ammunition storage Game modes: War Thunder has 3 game modes, from easiest to hardest: Arcade battles, Realistic battles and Simulation battles. You get the same amount of money and research points for upgrading your tank in every mode, but the harder modes give you more research points towards unlocking new tanks.
Aug 07, · Explanation: War Thunder is a free-to-play historical vehicle simulator created by Russian developer Gaijin Entertainment that seeks to bring aircraft, ground vehicles, and ships together in massive online multiplayer battles based on the pitched battles that took place in the Spanish Civil War, World War II, and Korean War using the vehicles.
With different parts of the player base seeking different levels of realism, it’s not easy to agree on what are considered Acceptable Breaks from Reality. One example is the matchmaking in the Realistic mode, which frequently eschews realistic match-ups and scenarios in favor of quick battles and shorter queues.
Some players feel it detracts from the experience, others don’t mind or enjoy the greater variety of scenarios. Some vehicles from other nations are available in the tech trees, as either captured vehicles from enemy nations or lend-lease vehicles from allies. From attempts to fool the other team by Dressing as the Enemy and the potential of friendly fire on markerless modes to the fact that the majority of these vehicles are premium vehicles Bribing Your Way to Victory for some , they’re quite controversial.
For some players, this is what they always wanted War Thunder to become and they’d prefer to see even more modern vehicles the lines not yet crossed are supersonic jets and air-to-air missiles , while others are outraged that some such vehicles sometimes have a low enough BR that it’s possible for them to end up in the same battles as WW 2 tanks. Players are making fun of Gaijin model developers for using the “Comic Sans” font to write instrument inscriptions in German cockpits.
The probable reasons for this are that the modelers are too stupid to use an authentic Font that looks both German and painted on, too lazy to even bother with this specific niche in historical accuracy, or they’re expressing their disdain towards Germany in a subtle way. Japanese fighters can be this if you’re not careful, as they tend to be both fast AND agile. Unfortunately, they pay for it by being lightly armored. In the Meta Game , though, Japanese planes which aren’t the Zero are regarded as a joke thanks to typically being underpowered for their rank.
Most infamously, the Zero appears at rank 7, which means it’s competing with much more advanced fighters, such as the American Hellcat notable for being developed specifically to counter the Zero and the English Typhoon.

Battle Rating BR is used to balance out planes based on how well they fight, or how dangerous they are. In realistic battles, you have only one plane and it’s BR is used to match you with approximately equal enemies. Usually you should not be put up against planes that are more than 1BR higher or lower than you.
In arcade mode it’s a bit more complex. Matchmaking works by using the BR of your top 3 planes in the line-up preset you are using, to calculate a value. This is so planes which are statistically too different cannot be together, as some planes are in the same rank but have better armament, and hence a higher BR.
I got tier tanks and I get matched up against tier 5 all the time.
A late WW2 stuff facing against Korean war era stuff. Technically that shouldn’t be a problem. That doesn’t effect public perception and average player base skill though, both of which factor in matchmaking quite heavily. Of course, the real reason it’s probably so hard to get matches in Tier V tanks is the same reason it was so hard to get matches in jets a year ago: Right now there are only 8 Tier V ground vehicles period. It also takes a long time to get to those 8 vehicles.
War thunder matchmaking unfair
I literally have just realised that the post I wrote for last week is still a draft. A facepalm moment if ever there was one. All of which means there is a fair bit to go over. My gaming the last fortnight has suffered somewhat from two, rather different, set of interruptions. Both were very good reads I can recommend. The second cause of interruption was general tiredness following several unsettled nights.

Everything with HE in it, is good for lightly armored planes, almost all fighters And anything with AP in it is good for well armored bombers And any type of ammo with an I incendiary has a higher chance of igniting the plane you shoot, if you hit the fuelparts. A lot of player will strictly focus on killing the other planes, while this is fun it rarely wins you the match. The objective here is to control the runways.
The score bar at the top of the screen will show which runways your team controls, the bars will decrease until one side loses. You’ll also see several planes of your team heading for the nearest runway when the match starts, this puts your team at a disadvantage as only one player can cap the runway. The objective of this match is to destroy the ground targets, obviously.
War Thunder (excuse me, Gaijin Entertainment) and Wargaming are clearly in the same business, if not yet direct competitors (tanks are not the same as planes, after all). That will one day change as both have aspirations to cover both air, land, and sea.
Jun 19, 1 I will start by saying: I made a metacritic account for the sole purpose of commenting on this game. This should tell you a bit about how strongly I feel about this game. What do I feel? That it is a steaming pile of garbage. The developer clearly has no interest in making an enjoyable experience for the user; they obviously have intentionally made the game as frustrating as possibleI will start by saying: The developer clearly has no interest in making an enjoyable experience for the user; they obviously have intentionally made the game as frustrating as possible for anyone who doesn’t dump literally hundreds of dollars into premium content.
Not only that, but the developers are clearly ridiculously nationalistically biased: The in-game garage claims the Tiger has mm un-sloped front glacis armor for an effective thickness of about mm, while the T has 45mm armor sloped at 60 degrees for an effective thickness of about 78mm.

So here is my list why war thunder sucks: If you switch research goals before you played one match the experience doesn’t work and you get no experience at all. Also if you finished researching a new vehicle and has to choose the next one it often happens that you are click on the other vehicle to be researched but some other vehicle get.
Share this article Share These fears are expressed in dramatic terms. In December the New York Times published an article raising questions about the wisdom of spending money on keeping alive old people with chronic diseases. The chief executive said: Ten is lower than Life and death becomes a matter of economics. As one who at 73 has two chronic conditions — arthritis and diabetes — but keeps to a diet, exercises at the gym and works hard to keep in tip-top shape, both physically and mentally, and expects to be able to look after himself for at least another decade, I find such articles more than a little discomforting.
